Also, high value on intellect & personal progress, which might seem a bit much for a newcomer but I found it refreshing All the churches have something to give.& I think there are ten in town. It's a back to basics approach, here; not judgmental but this isn't a "liberal" church, per-se. For Christians, there is always enough room under the roof, though, & so asking to "get it" (understand) is like asking to receive ("get it").
