Duggan Place Heritage Inn

Loved this B&B. Hosts were gracious, rooms lovely, location perfect. The review that said that this was the best breakfast in Canada was accurate! Thanks for a wonderful visit in Stratford.

I love this place! We stayed one night in the Carmela room. It is spacious, has 12 foot ceilings, 4 tall windows with a seating area, and a spacious sunny washroom with a door that led to a furnished balcony. The linens were luxurious and the king size bed was very comfortable. The balcony was a delight. If things couldn’t get any better, they did, at breakfast,I had read about the fruit presentation, but the breakfast fruit dish was beautiful to behold, and even as largely a non-fruit eater, I found it irresistible - light and delicate with a bit of yogurt. Delicious.This was followed.by 3 large freshly baked scones at our table. These home made scones are better than those sold at bakeries, and were hot out of the oven. This was followed by a massive frittata topped with avocado and sour cream. This breakfast is upper end cuisine. All of this, room and breakfast, for a surprisingly well priced daily fee of under $100 pp, admittedly in low season. The value and quality of this B & B is exceptional. Beautiful soaps and toiletries. The hosts, Tony and Laura are gracious and hilarious. It was a wonderful stay, and am looking forward to our next one.

Duggan Place is the quintessential B&B. Breakfast is always amazing, the accommodations cozy and very well kept, and the location is such that everything is within a pleasant walking distance. Tony and Laura are excellent conversation and fantastic proprieters, and always a joy to be around. I can't recommend this place enough!

Duggan Place is one of the most comfortable bed-and-breakfasts I have stayed at in my life. The proprietors are very pleasant people, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the complementary breakfasts are excellent. Overall, if you're visiting Stratford, there are few better places to stay.

Phenomenal service and food. A top notch breakfast. Tony and Laura are the best hosts you could ask for. Accommodations are quiet, comfortable and cozy. Definitely worth staying.
