My husband and I spent a night at Mike and Jen’s guest house. They have a beautiful, beautiful, home! We loved the design, functionality, and size of the space.
They are also very warm that you almost feel like you’re with family. They provided great restaurant recommendations prior to our visit and we were able to reserve our tables accordingly. This was a great weekend away from the city to eat some good food, watch some theatre, and come home to a nice bed and delicious breakfast in the morning.
Thanks again, Mike and Jen!
The owners Mike and Jennifer sure made our stay a Fabulous experience! We spent two nights at their B&B and it definitely was worth it. The room we had was cozy and inviting and the breakfasts were delicious. Also we were given loads of advice and tips which made our stay in the beautiful town of Stratford a wonderful trip. We would highly recommend staying at The Strat Guest House for anyone planning to catch some plays in Stratford!
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Strat Guest House. Mike and Jennifer were welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and the location was a very convenient walking distance to all three theatres and downtown. They also have a Level 2 charger so we were able to charge our electric car overnight.
I had a great time with my husband in the early part of this spring. Too bad it rained but thank goodness for the outdoor terrace that was covered. We sat there at night listening to the rain after the show. The hosts lent us some wine glasses and saved us.
The house has a sitting room and a dining area. The room itself was clean and cozy even with the rain. It had a big bed and a small desk. There was a closet for me to hang up my dress. I like that. There was bathroom with shower stall. I thought the art on the wall was nice to;!some antique pics. I get tired of regular hotels that have the Group of Seven on every wall!!
The hosts were friendly. She chatted with me about the different plays. A real theatre lover who has seen most of everything!! I think she did the cooking and I filled up on fresh fruit and eggs in the morning. The fresh pastries looked beautiful to! My husband ate my share. He must do a lot to maintain that house because there was not a nail out of place.
The walk to the theatre only took a few minutes so the location is good. Also we saw lots of places to eat as we walked. We went shopping on the main street during the day. It was easy to carry our bounty home only a few blocks.
I think I might try to go back this fall to see what the trees look like that time of year. There will be some nice fall colours.
Thanks Strat!!
Amazing spot! Corner location in a mature neighbourhood, lovely decor and fun, welcoming 'vibe' once you're in the door. Easy walk to the theatre & downtown plus a perfect dinner recommendation from our hosts. Cosy porch, sunny patio, beautiful dining room, spacious, immaculate bedroom and our own bath for privacy. Ultra-comfy bed made for such a great night's rest, their coffee blend made our morning as did the delicious breakfast. No detail overlooked... we'll be back.
