Riverview Park & Zoo

I too remember a time when the monkey house was down by the river, the zip lines, the pond with the swans and ducks and the gazebo where concerts were held. That was 20+ years ago.

Riverview Park and Zoo has been a part of Peterborough for many years and has only gotten better. Adding in additions such as the otters, the splash pad complete with changing house/washrooms, gift shop, newer monkey house, etc.

I've heard before it is the largest free zoo in all of Canada. I'd believe it! I still come here every year I visit my hometown.

Although the zoo portion is closed and there were no animals, there is still a large playground area for the children. It is composed of 4 interlocking large playgrounds with lots to do. My son always wants to come HERE to play!

have been taking the kids here since they were young. Always a great place to go. clean, lots to see and well ran. I went here when I was a kid too. Lots of great memories here

Green& quiet w picnic space and lots of room for kids to play. Fabulous disc golf course. & best of all (although closed at the moment) a great free zoo.
