We spoke with Dan just over a year ago (just before the pandemic) We knew we were going to renovate the basement and the ductwork was done horribly (what do you expect from a house that was built in the late 70's, when heating and cooling was just an afterthought). After a previous reno we lost the air returns from the second floor (wall removal, flush beam). There was also never any air returns in the bedrooms, which made the air quality feel very stuffy / stale especially our master bedroom which was the furthest away from the furnace. We also needed the entire heater unit moved back 4 feet away from a wall and the A/c moved to the other side of the wall so we could create a walkout to the basement. After lots of debates we ended up choosing the Trane product line (we splurged a bit, peace of mind for the next 15 years, hopefully). Furnace, AC and Tankless water heater. Dan and his team took the time to really understand the issues, our needs and wants and we all worked together to create a final solution! Dan’s team (Mark and Mark) were very respectful of our home and did a great job to create a solution we are very happy with. They even made sure we had minimal down time of systems. All during the pandemic lockdown which made planning even more tedious. After they completed the work all we can say is it’s fabulous and such a dream to have even cooling though out the house! “We came in for some dessert about an hour before closing and were surprised to find the place a lot busier than we expected for an ice cream shop to be in the middle of a Canadian winter. Nonetheless, the staff were pleasant and cheerful, and served us heaping helpings of delicious Kawartha ice cream. The value here is outstanding: even the “little baby” smallest size is enough to feed an adult and then some, and the milk shakes are also very generously topped with whipped cream. You get a lot more bang for you buck here than at other “big brand” creameries. Pro-Tip: you can have the milk shakes made with chocolate milk instead of regular milk if you just ask.”
