I'm proud to say I live in one of these buildings. This is a part of town that has a very diverse mixture of properties. With a known property disaster at each end of the block, it's nice to be able to brag that our management does a major property improvement each year (new balconies, new elevators, new windows, upgrading the lighting, laundry room upgrades, converting an abandoned tennis court to a green space/dog park - all in about 7 years) and they staff a friendly crew of cleaners and property managers. I've never had any safety concerns overflow from the less classy properties in the neighbourhood and it's convenient to the most important amenities, including 10 min walk to the Simcoe bus route or steps to the bus directly to the mall.
