My pain was so excruciating that I succumbed and went to Emergency the day before my visit. My left arm was constantly spasming and I was mentally and physically exhausted. Whatever he did, the spasms stopped and made me feel instantly much better. He is extremely knowledgeable about the human anatomy, very gentle and thorough. Dr. Byer was able to diagnose an issue that other optometrists and even ophthalmologists had been unable to. For many months I was being treated for a dry eye condition, when that was not the underlying problem. In addition I discovered my contact lenses were not fitting properly.
