Lakeside Park Beach

Nice spot, sheltered from the wind. Big beach with loads of sand. There are washrooms available and a picnic area and a very old wooden carousel that is still 5 cents to ride. How sweet..

The restaurant/bar out on the pier is great. Really good food, a little pricey but worth it.
Try the cheesecake.

Amazing antique carousel. The attention to detail on the animals is incredible. Who can beat the cost of $0.5 per rider? We bought 20 rides for $1. Just to note that the card is only valid for the existing season (so 2019). We had no problem using up the rides with the four of us. Just note that there are some animals that do not go up and down, rather, are stationary. It truly did not matter to us. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful spot to take the kids to hang out by the water. Has a really nice playground that's a lot of fun & the carousel is also awesome! Just wish it was running the day we went. They had it shut down because of flooding. Lots of little ice cream shops & some nice restaurants to have a bite to eat.

First time ever there today and yes, it is quite flooded. Still managed to find a nice spot for my dog to swim. Looks like it will be really great if the water level ever drops. My dog and I enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.
