Short Hills is a gorgeous place to hike! With trails of all difficulties it has a little something for everyone. I love stopping by each of the waterfalls. It's dog friendly and some trails even allow horses. My only complaint is all the horse poop on the trails! Gross!
The trails are lovely lots of trees some fields you can hear the birds. Trails are easily marked. The Falls are mostly Dry but still worth the hike
I love this park. It's free to enter, and is quite large. I've gone on a lot of hiking expeditions here, and still haven't seen it all. You can stick to the trails, which there is a lot of; or you can just venture off them and find some really cool stuff.
Beautiful scenery, shady trails so nice on a hot or rainy day.
Beautiful river to help the dogs cool off, takes 30 or so minutes to walk to the river.
Incredible waterfall view!
Fantastic hiking spot. Scenery changes on the different trails. Went during the week in April and it was very quite. Only ran into a few people near the water fall on Terrace Creek Trail and Black Walnut. Trails such as Hemlock, Scarlet and parts of Black Walnut were quite muddy. Guessing it was due to the time of year and the day before it was raining.
Check yourself for ticks. I found one on my clothes. Luckily none in my dog.
Will go back again.
