First here and then Sobeys! Good location. Close to Britannia Italian Bakery. All good places. Original Killer Brownie is found here: with walnuts and warmed up at home... soOo good.
Nice place to shop for groceries. They're clean, never out if anything, and the husband always finds his fresh striploin steaks at a fair price. They are pretty good for specialty foods too; my only disappointment is that they don't carry light Oka cheese, my favourite.
Rushed into a Longos the other day looking for a slab cake. The lady at the bakery (Diana) told me that they only make those on order with 24 hours notice. They did have a large cake that was just perfect, however I was blown away by the service and attention to detail that Diana provided. She was thoughtful and put a couple of finishing touches on the cake that delighted everyone at our party. Thank you Diana for a job well done.
The best thing at Longos is most definitely their fresh pizza - good price and great quality pizza. Can't go wrong with $15 pizza. Much better than the big pizza chain.
Great selection of food, produce, meats, etc. here. Certain things here you can find the same thing elsewhere for less. At the end of the day if I'm paying for better service and experience I can live with that. Experience wise it is definitely better because of how organized everything is and how nicely everything is displayed. Floor staff are very helpful, but the cashiers here are not good at all. 9/10 times I am more pleasant towards the cashier than they are to me. In quite a few incidents I said hi to the cashier before they even said hi to me, and I was already standing in front of them and they were scanning my groceries. Even more frequently I would say "have a great day!" to them when I leave as opposed to the other way around.
