Two treatments 1 week apart, some healing time and completely gone!
Can't believe i didn't see a chiropodist earlier!
i went to Dr. Ryan Kerbel re: stubborn plantar wart on the bottom of a toe after failing 2 months of self-treatment with Salicylic acid 40% that i got from my GP. The self-treatment with SA 40% just irritated the area, eroded the surrounding tissue and actually caused the wart to increase in size. It was only at the point when my self-treated wart was so painful that it was causing me to limp that i went to see Dr. Ryan.
Dr. Ryan at the initial treatment took one look and knew exactly what to do. I really appreciated the clear communication as I am also in the medical field.
Treatment was straightforward but only possible by a chiropodist
1st session - Wart debrided, applied Cantharidin (a blister forming agent) ...was uncomfortable on day 2-3 post
2nd session (in 1 week) - Blister debrided, cryotherapy via nitrogen gun, then application of SA 40%. 24 hours post looked nasty. 3-4 days post - scabbed, 1 week post - peeled, 2 weeks post - completely healed.

Highly Recommended. Dr. Kerbel is just amazing. Made me feel very comfortable while getting my callouses removed. Finally i can walk around without having pain on the sides of my feet. He was very thorough and goes out of his way to make sure your comfortable while getting treatment. Office is nice, clean and welcoming. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Wow, I can't begin to tell you how helpful the Foot Medical Centre is in helping with foot concerns. Ryan is so knowledgeable and provided so many options to help treat my wife's heel spur. The office has a friendly, clean, and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend checking out the Foot Medical Centre out if you have any foot issues. Clean and comfortable place with friendly staff. Ryan was very thorough and explained each stage of the assessment and all about how feet work. I would highly recommend Foot Medical Centre to my friends and family - it is well worth the drive up from Toronto!
