“A beautiful, pristine, deciduous and coniferous forest. The trail maps aren't really a reflection of the trails you'll find, but it's not hard to find your way. Delicate toads and salamanders about , watch your step! ????”

“I've been to this park a few times. Your experience may differ with the season. In Summer the mosquitoes are bad enough to send you running from the park. Seriously. I prefer it for Winter skiing and hiking. There are maps along the trail route, but it can be confusing. A printed map or access to a .pdf of the trails is highly recommended. Park has a pond and extensive wooded areas. Enjoy!”

“Amazing place came out here for volunteer tree planting with Nature Conservancy of Canada. Wonderful to drive to and see the country and landscapes. Wonderful forestry just north of GTA. Beautiful trails to walk thru and explore. There is property markers that tell you where is private and public. Happy trees all about”

“You may not want to make a day trip from Toronto for the Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve but if you’re a nature love or simply need a break from urban life and happen to be in the area, the Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve is quite nice. There are many interesting info panels posted throughout the area. There are also three separate trails you can take that will bring you through different natural environments. Each of the trails is between 1 to 2 km long, so unless you plan on doing all 3, not much time is needed.”

“Excellent soups but the 'soup area' was cramped and dark in a tent. They didn't have the entrance marked too well as people could just walk right in to the soup tent without paying especially since some soups didn't collect tokens. But all in all, delicious.”

“A beautiful and peace place. It is wonderful both in winter and summer. It was fun to snow shoe in winter. In winter it really helps if you know trees or go with someone who does. Highlight is the 400 year old tree. Please stay on trails and leave Happy Valley with little evidence that you were there.”

“One of the best keep trail secrets in the GTA. Walk the river (500m) and find one of the oldest trees in ontario. Follow the trail straight across and bring a nice picnic once you get through the forest.”

“This is a great trail. There a a small but nice boardwalk over the marshy area. There are sign at all intersections so you can keep track of where you are going. When walking towards the Pine trail you come across a nice little pond. If you like nature and going for walks you will not be disappointed.”
