茶記 Cha Kee Restaurant (Markham)

New location same great taste! I'm so happy there's another location now to split up the crazy busy foot traffic at the Hwy 7 location :)

I feel like the curry beef balls was cheaper here $4.99 per order for takeout, but could be take out pricing.

Either way their dishes are all must tries if you like soft scrambled eggs!

I give them 9/10!

If you are looking for the real Hong Kong taste, you must give it a try! All I want to say is, I do not miss Hong Kong so much anymore :) Thank you Cha Kee staff, you guys are awesome!

Take out service:
Upon arrival, although they are not fully renovated due to the pandemic, their restaurant is clean and tidy, staff is fully equipped and understands social distancing and sanitization rules. They have also posted notices from the government in regards to these regulations. There are many reminders to raise awareness for social distancing. Hand sanitizer is also available at the pick up table.

Right as we entered, all the staff greater us with hospitality and professionalism. Their service was just as wonderful as their Richmond Hill location.

Take out food quality:
I had ordered via their website for 3 combo items to be paid in store.
The food was packaged nice and neatly. The food was still super hot when I received it. The drinks were made on the spot upon arrival (I had ordered some iced drinks too).

焗豬扒飯 Signature Baked Tomato Pork Chop Rice - Classic great taste, meat was tender, sauce was good.

黯然銷魂飯 - Pan-Fried Pork Party w/ Sunny Side Up Egg on Rice - Very interesting fusion concept. To be honest I didn't know what to expect when I received it as there were no description on their website. But when I picked up my food in store I had picked up their paper menu too and on that they're were English translation. It was good but not as enticing as other traditional dishes.

咖哩牛腩意粉 Curry Beef Brisket on Spaghetti (changed from rice) - I had changed my rice to spaghetti. Delicious taste. Still hot when I picked it up. Briskets were tender. I like things super saucy so for me, this could use a bit more sauce.

Cold Lemon Ice Tea & Hot Coffee/Tea - Classic good taste

Overall, I'd definitely return (especially when they're right in my neighborhood) for some HK café dishes. Wonderful service, good food. Support local business!
