Great pastor with amazing sermons, warm church family, very welcome people

A cute little church in a quiet street in Unionville filled with genuine and devoted pursuers of Christ… I went to Unionville Baptist Church on the last Sunday of the year. It was a diverse congregation in terms of age and ethnicity. I really liked their simple acoustic worship that mixed contemporary notes with hymns. The two joyful vocalists on the stage enhanced the worship atmosphere. For the coming year, Rev. Chris Meyers encouraged the congregation not to easily settle with spiritual complacency but to zealously pursue Christ and for His commands – to love, to serve, to offer, and to search for any hidden sin. As the congregation sang the reflective song after the sermon, I saw the elderly lady in front of me singing the “As the Deer - As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after thee…” with tears. When the worship service finished, to my surprise, Rev. Meyers ran out to the door to greet me. Other people also tried to talk to me and to invite me back for the next Sunday. That made me felt very special and welcomed. I am thankful that I could join their year end service this year. This church has AWANA program for children and other fellowship groups suitable for different age groups. Come and check it out!!
