“Construction hampers the area. The fields are not maintained, but the basketball court and tennis courts are appreciated. Deserves a makeover in the future, for sure.”

“The trail has tree covered, so it's not too bad. This trail is interesting with lots to see, good to bring kids, as it's more like an adventure to them. It's NOT stroller-friendly though. Baby carrier is recommended. There are frogs everywhere because this trail is very near watercourse. We saw woodpeckers along the trail as well. New grown pine trees from pine cones in one part of the forest, very interesting!”

“We just love River Walk Commons anytime of year. Winter they have skating. In Spring events start happening. Summer music festivals for all ages every week. The farmers market is there as well to enjoy. The pathways for walking taking you through the TomTaylor trail which is all connected for biking too. Great place to sit and relax anytime.”

“Fairy Lake park is a nice place to go, if you want to have a picnic, or just take a stroll to the park. It is well located at the southern tip or at the bottom of main Street in Newmarket. The only thing that I find is that it is a little dated, meaning that the city hasn't really changed much in this park over the last 5 to 10 years. That being said it is still a nice place oh, it is kept clean, well-maintained and again it is a nice place to go with family and friends if you want to have a relaxing day or afternoon.”

“Nice large park with multiple soccer fields and parks. One park is currently under construction with hopes that it will be finished in the near future. There is also a great fenced in area for people with dogs to let them loose without leash and allow them to have a good run around.”

“Lovely little dog park. Met some very friendly people and pups. Everyone seemed to be watching their dog. Fantastic that it's so close to walking trails as well, so your pup can have both on-leash and off-leash time. Love that the small dogs have their own section and I don't have to worry about my goofball running anyone over!”

“Nice enough. A couple of decent climbers and some basketball nets. My daughter (near 4 yrs old) was a little bored but we stayed an hour. She was caught a little between the small climber and the bigger one.”
