  Truly truly the jewel or Richmond Hill. The only thing if it’s kind in all of Canada! As a community we should all be in support of the programs that this facility once had before the OMB fiasco. Regardless, this area will be transformed into a beautiful park and I cannot wait until then. Currently the buildings are kept decent condition. Obviously some additional work is required to bring it up to standard but from what I saw from visiting it’s great. Great picnic area with lots of open space outside as well.

  I believe that's the only woods in this area, and needs to be protected from any further stupid construction.
  there are a family of around ten white-tale deers here which must be supported.
  Make sure you keep it clean when you have a short visit .

David Dunlap Observatory - Triposo

The David Dunlap Observatory is a large astronomical observatory site just north of Toronto in Richmond Hill, Ontario, housed on a 189acre estate. Formerly owned and operated by the University of Toronto from its establishment in 1935 until 2008, the observatory is now managed by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Toronto Centre (RASC-TC) and the David Dunlap Observatory Defenders (DDOD).
