Urgent Care Centre

Extremely long wait times. 1 hour is considered a short wait time. I generally wait 2 hours and bring things to do. I have experienced a nurse telling me not to come because my visit cost the government and tax payers $700 or $900 for something simple that a walk in can do. The doctors general know what they are talking about when I go but the reviews in the neighbourhood are very mixed and the people are the desk know it. Many people who go need x-rays and they seem to only have one doctor, one person for x-rays and one nurse so it moves slower if you need and x ray and you will leave 3 hours after you arrive. Don’t rely on the person at the desk for an update because they will not be in a rush to help you. If you are blood they person at the desk will help you on the stop but that doesn’t mean you’re going to see the doctor any sooner then the person who thinks they have strep throat. Don’t expect then to be discreet. Just because you whisper to the person at the desk doesn’t mean they will lower their voice. I said for 2 hours in the waiting room listening to music and reading the news and can still tell you almost every detail or every conversation that happened once I sat down. Unfortunately these doctors know more then my local walk in clinic doctors, they have better hours and technology, the are close and they have someone walking around cleaning, so I will keep coming back. Just bring something to do and ask all the right questions to only the doctors and not the rude nurses or the front desk.

Pretty good facility, just be warned that although it is an urgent care facility, it isn't always welcome to walk in patients. I believe some days it is manditory to book appointments. Be forewarned.
