Very nice. Worth visiting in person
Had a great time here. The gentleman who runs it has a great knowledge of the history of each of the pieces there, and the collection keeps growing! There aren't just clocks as well, as there are old maps, old music players, and other items. For those who are interested in history and mechanical systems, it is a great way to spend about an hour in.
We had a guided tour (highly recommended!). A wonderful collection of time pieces as well as record players, maps, and a pump organ! Well worth a visit if you're in town or passing through.
If you love clocks and museums this is a place to see! This is a typical small town museum. An older gentleman runs it, when asked about being open, he went on to describe that if it’s close we should call the number and he will come from home and open it up. He had some much love for the place. As most small town museums, Explained a lot of history of the museum and about the different styles of clocks.
How long are you going to spend there? If your the type to read and embrace everything, There is enough items to keep you busy for a couple hours. All in all, I recommend.
Seriously cool items that would interest all types! Autism-friendly, too, with toy clocks, puzzles, and so many recognized brands and characters. My youngest son's favorites were the kids section, rabbit-ears TV and stamping his time in and out on the clock at the entrance. My 11 year old was very fascinated with the sizes of all the grandfather clocks, the radioactive clocks and the many sundials on the property. It was a great trip for our family! Thanks to Allen, who gave an amazing tour - two big thumbs up from us!! :D
