Eagles Nest Lookout

Veryyyy Beautiful! We went there at 5 in the morning and damn, we literally witnessed the best sunrise😍 It was -6 degrees but was worth it! Love this place. It will be more beautiful in summers i guess !

A beautiful place to say the least. Located about an hour and a half hours drive from Ottawa, Eagles Neat is a perfect spot for anyone looking for a Easy trail.
This trail is dog friendly and has couple of spots for those interested in Grappling.
Parking would have to be off the main road below.

Beautiful hike. Went after the warm, then cold snap. Trails where greasy (icy). I really had to watch my footing. It's a beautiful view. Looking forward to taking my kids next time.

Beautiful lookout point minutes from town. There's only a small parking lot and I think due to Covid, there was a massive amount of people there the Saturday we went, in the fall. However, people park along the side of the road so it's not a problem - just watch out for speeding cars. It's a fairly short hike up to the lookout on a dirt path, but it's uphill the entire time. Something to keep in mind if you have difficulty walking. From the amount of cars, we thought it'd be a zoo when we reached the lookout, but it was fine. Predictably, the crowd stuck to the one main area to take photos and leave, but if you walk for a minute or so, in either direction along the path at the top, it's nearly empty. It's a beautiful lookout, a long rocky escarpment overlooking a vast wooded area. Pretty breathtaking, and there are a number of trails / paths you can follow. Nice place to spend a couple hours.

Went after a snow fall and because it is fairly busy, the snow was already nicely packed so it was easy to walk on. It's mostly wide and the incline is rather pleasant. Nice view at the lookout. Parking lot is small but cars park along the road.
