    Visited Mapleside today for the boiling event. What a great facility and fun way to spend the afternoon. The beans and biscuits by James Waito were a delicious touch! Well done.

    Had a family outing on the land with the owner. Showed us around. Definitely be back in April when the maple season is in full swing!

    What a neat little setup they have here! We saw the trees with taps, the pump-house where the sap lines converge, large storage tanks where the sap is stored until ready to boil, and my favourite beast of all, the wood-fired evaporator. They have samples of the syrup, maple taffy in the snow, and everyone was very informative and friendly. In less than an hour I learned almost everything there is to know about their operation.

    Great family-run sugar bush with some of the best maple syrup in the Valley. On the first weekend of April they're open for free tours, and you can roll maple taffy in the snow and see how they collect and boil the maple sap to make delicious syrup. And of course, buy maple syrup and delicious maple treats! A great annual tradition.
