First things first, they are now know as Allendale Wine Crafters. As not many people know, most wine is clarified using some sort of animal product (isinglass - aka fish parts, shellfish, or even egg whites). Allendale normally uses shellfish as part of the processing, but after asking whether they could omit this step, she made calls to ensure that the quality and stability of the wine would not be compromised. Turns out, all they have to do is skip this step, and the wine is vegan/vegetarian.
My family has been bottling their own wine with services like Allendale since I was a kid, and I will most definitely be continuing this, as the premium wine brands are delicious and don't have any nasty additives. Allendale has earned themselves a few lifetime customers.
