Bass Lake South Side

Great place to bring the dog and family for a swim. Very shallow until you go out a fair distance. Can get a little busy when there are people loading and unloading their boats. We were only up for the weekend and found this little gem of a spot.

Beautiful sunset on the bay. The lake contains perch, sunfish, catfish and bass. Sweet boat launch.
Had a bad experience with an illiterate racist and self-proclaimed "hunter" who boated to the shore and harassed my friends and I.
Awesome place for your dogs to swim. If there were a trash can there would me much less litter. If it were not for the drunken ignorant bigot who landed while we were there I had a great time. Can't damn the place because of one idiot.
Have fun - but ladies watch out - you may be sexually harrassed and slapped on the butt by drunken "men".

Nice little lake, good for swimming and paddling.

This is a good access point for canoeing or kayaking on Bass Lake. However, it is quite abused by thoughtless people throwing out garbage and spinning their wheels in the gravel road & parking area. There is no winter maintenance or facilities at all. In summer there may be a portable toilet and garbage barrel. It would be suitable for swimming, but unfortunately dog owners frequent the area and allow their dogs in the water. Thus, Bass Lake Provincial Park is a more suitable spot to go swimming with full public facilities for a reasonable rate.

Nice beach for a swim. Could do with a little maintaining (parking area) and people need to pick up after dogs
