(July 6, 2019, 2:20 am)This is my favorite spot to kayak. It's about an hour's drive from Grand Marais, MN and is protected a bit from the wind and waves, depending on their direction. The launch area is large with good parking and nice picnic areas, although the washroom hasn't been very clean any time I've been there. I haven't explored the land much, but there's so much to enjoy from the water: cool rocks and cliffs, beautiful boreal flora and Lake Superior wildlife. $2 CAN to park.

(January 21, 2019, 1:31 pm)Great little conservation area with a dock and picnic areas.
Did the lookout hike, and cut fresh tracks through the snow. Trail was easy to follow even with no tracks and no markers. View at the top is totally worth the short hike!
