However, this location is still worth a detour since there are a few beautiful hiking trails. It takes about fifteen minutes north from here to get to a stunning lookout on the shore of Lake Superior. It takes about forty-five minutes south from here to visit the High Falls on Pigeon River.”

“Very easy hike. Kid and dog friendly if they can do the distance, but there are also shortcuts if they can't. Great views. Water was surprisingly not freezing cold, but rocks are very slippery to walk in. Not great for swimming. Trails are well marked. Lots of cool plants and flowers!”
