The taproom is like mums basement in the best possible way. Not pretentious. Nintendo Duck Hunt. Welcoming. The beer is great, the staff are friendly and the prices fair. I have enjoyed every visit I’ve had to this brewery. Alicia, the taproom manager, was a fantastic hire; she is an amazing host and very knowledgeable.

Hands down the best beers ever! And the Ken Woods the owner was amazing. Enjoyed the conversation so much. If you live on lakeshore west ditch canned beer just go for fresh beer here.

What a great find. A few months ago we saw this place with my husband and decided to a get a beer or two. Taste of the different and creative flavors exceed our expectations. I was especially skeptical to try the Gingerbread beer, but I followed Halicia's recommendation. I have to admit Gingerbread beer is my favorite beer now. Halicia is very friendly and knowledgeable and she was kind enough give us a tour and explained the production process. One of the best brewery in Ontario, if not the best.

Owner Ken does a great job with the tour! Our sampling of beers was wonderful, some very unique and tasty new style brews! Old school pinball was fun while we waited, will be back for sure.

Black Oak is unlike GLB and Big Rock nearby. It has its own chill throwback vibe - Sorta like a basement with a tonne of natural light. I could sit and drink beer on their couches all day. They have 5 beers on tap to try. Their NOX Smoked Oatmeal Stout is my favourite but none of the beers will disappoint. The brewmaster is entertaining and hilarious. Go early on a Saturday to avoid the Groupon peeps. $5 for a pint and $8 for a flight!
