Abyssinia YYZ - Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine

It was my first time to try Ethiopian food but definitely not the last. I went there with my two kids and we all walked out with a smile on our face as well as our belly in front of us (the portions are huge)…

The décor, the atmosphere, the quality of the ingredients, the spices…everything is unique and on top of that our female server very polite and well knowledgeable about the menu.

It is a must try if you didn’t try Ethiopian cuisine before

Delicious. A great experience. Don't miss the coffee ceremony ! The two of us enjoyed a vegetarian platter and the K`IK`IL (Mild lamb stew). Friendly and informative waitress help us choose just the right amount of heat. I nice treat.

I saw the reviews were really high. I decided to go to the restaurant with my father and brother. On entry, a very nice lady helped us and served us. The service was outstanding, and above all of our expectations. We ordered a dish for 4. The food was mouth watering. It came with meat, a special flat bread, vegetables and egg. The food was very spicy and well cooked. The service was lovely with the beautiful lady checking up on us every now and then to make sure our experience was at its highest. At the end, we had a quick chat with the waitress and she was very kind. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. There were NO issues. The decor was beautiful and the food came out quick. 11/10

Abyssinia YYZ is an excellent spot for delicious Ethiopian food. There were lots of menu options. Our server helpfully answered our questions about dishes and made excellent recommendations. The only downside was that the food took a long time to prepare even though the restaurant was not that busy. Overall, a good experience and we would love to come back.
