Years ago when we went for a walk by Evergreen Brickworks, we met Bernard. I don't know what he was building but it was gorgeous. He gave us his business card - that is a piece wood by the way!
During the pandemic, we went for a walk by Evergreen again and I saw the shop, it peaked my interest and I added BeReclaimed to instagram. I saw so many beautiful pieces of work Bernard was creating.
My mother's 60th came up and I wanted to give her a custom cutting board and have it engraved with my grandmother's recipe (the only piece of writing my mother has of hers).
Bernard was so helpful and amazing. He made suggestions and created the most beautiful serving tray. It was also done so quickly.
It it the most beautiful piece of work. I certainly will be contacting him in the future for our own cutting boards.

Bernard was absolutely fabulous to work with and created amazing shelves that are perfect for my needs. He obviously took the time and attention to be sure that the final product was exactly what I was looking for - reaching out with photos of the wood, stain options, different metal finishes, mock up drawings, etc. to be sure he got it just right! His attention to detail was great, even remembering the photos of the space and if there were thermostat/light switches that would conflict with the height. Really fabulous experience all around! I have no hesitation recommending Bernard for any of your custom furniture needs/projects and have already sent his info to a number of my friends and colleagues!

Absolutely love the table built by Bernard. It quickly became a staple piece of furniture that will remain with our family for years to come. Bernard has excellent attention to detail and is probably one of the most patient people I have ever worked with. He went through multiple design options with us to ensure we got exactly what we envisioned. An absolute gem of a local Toronto company! Highly recommended!
