Had chicken curry with spinach (saag chicken) with brown rice pilaf, and curried veg, with a pop. $9. All the food tasted home made. If you are looking for boneless chicken, look else where. They use bone in meat for curry, which it should be for extra flavour. Got a piece of the fried chicken, which was really tasty but a bit small on the meat side.
They have a lot of different curries, as well as fish, and pizza. It is attached to a grocery store.
The atmosphere is humble, and simple. Bring cash, and a smile.
This place is in the same store as the grocery store and is easily missed, but if you head in here you won't regret it. Home-made curries at a very reasonable price lie inside. I have not found another place in Toronto with curries in such large quantity and quality for the price that is offered. In my experience the pricing is a bit whimsical (I've been charged two although both reasonable prices for the same dish depending on who is serving me) however the quality of the place makes up for this (this is not a fine dining location). Make sure you don't go here on Ramadan for it will definitely be closed!
