This is my new favorite place in the city. It’s very cozy and has the best food. Delicious, Huge portion for reasonable price. The staff are super friendly and out going, and the interior decoration is full of culture and very unique. They’re usually very busy, so weekdays are better options for you to give them a visit.
The best Egyptian restaurant that I have tried so far. The servers were great and the restaurant had a nice decoration with pictures of Egyptian culture. I recommend to try the lentils soup.
Blow your mind chicken, very flavourful and they don’t cheap out on the onions! It’s loaded with flavour and can definitely be shared by the whole table so you can enjoy their other items. The brunch line is always there but it was worth it. The restaurant is small with 24 seats but the place is very cute and cozy with all the Egyptian decoration and family photos. Will be going back some time to try other items!
Food was good but a bit salty and oily to my taste. Wait time is too long and not healthy in cold and rainy weather. Waited over an hour in line outside to get in which made it harder to really enjoy the food as we were soaking wet and cold by the time we got a table.
The food was quite delicious. It was the first time I have tasted so many rich spices so early in the day - a nice start to the day. I have heard there is routinely a line up but we arrived right when they opened at 8am and were seated right away. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. Definitely try the homemade hot sauce - it's not too hot and very tasty. The only downside was it felt rather cool inside the restaurant (however it was -17 outside and most of the walls are glass)
