An intriguing installation.
At first we were puzzled as we thought that people in orange morph suits were hanging onto these large inner tubes facing the shore. As you ponder the meaning of this installation or if a commercial is being filmed, you begin to notice that they are a little too immobile and oh so identical.
Are these boys meant to be buoys? Do these molded men have legs? Why are they mostly facing the shore?
The artists express that the piece symbolize displaced populations and immigration, perhaps the plight of refugees will come to mind... So why is this expressed with only one individual (standard mid-30s man)?
