Fantastic place. Loved to see old engines. Kids were surprised to see that in old cars sofas and writing tables were provided. We spent time in the yard. There were few engines. Worth a visit. Enjoyed mini train ride.
Inside area is quite small and seems packed.
Four stars because the price is low and the kids loved the simulator... but be aware the inside portion you pay for is very small. I was expecting at least a train or two to be inside the roundhouse and that is not the case. There is a train cab simulator which was neat but overall a bit disappointing for adults. Checking out the outdoor area is sufficient.
The museum itself is quite small, but it has some interesting content. There is a train simulator, with real controls, and some exhibits on the history and function of trains. Outside the Roundhouse are many trains and passenger cars, some of which you can enter on guided tours. Finally, my favorite part was the miniature railway for kids, which goes on fully functional mini train tracks.
Great place!! Got cool trains and you can go inside some of them (if on a tour). Tour guides were really nice and helpful. Really cool restorations of trains!!
It’s a fantastic place. Although I didn’t have the time to enter the museum, I spent some time at the yard which had some engines from the bygone era stationed. Each has some kind of history to it and an informative signboard gives all the details. It’s a good place for kids and families to spend some time.
