Where the River Narrows

Delicious, we both loved the food and service. Had the oyster soup and cured salmon as appetizer, Wagyu steak and short ribs as mains, all excellent. Simple/casual atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Fabulous Mother's Day Dinner & Show at the cozy bistro. Everything was tasty, well-seasoned and worth every bite. The steak was perfectly grilled, short ribs tender, but the montreal smoked meat ravioli was a surprise hit. Then we got to the desserts - a delicious moist chocolate cake (even the next day as leftovers) won me over. Cheesecake flavours are very unique and made me think why I didn't order an entire cake. Definitely a hidden gem in Toronto east end.

I ordered a salmon dish. I like raw fish in sushi, but in this case the combined flavours were not so great. 3 stars because I don't want to be unfair, this place has good reviews, so maybe the rest of the menu is much better.

Wow! Just had an excellent meal at this wonderful, friendly little spot. I had the fish frites, my wife had the lamb burger and both were delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
