Dynacare Laboratory and Health Services Centre

My physician wanted me to get a (fasting) blood test and this location was convenient for me to get to, plus the hours of operation also made the decision easier.

NOTE: The entrance to this lab is gained inside the Shoppers Drug Mart (at the rear of the store just left of the pharmacy department).

I had the paperwork from my Doctor along with my health card ready for the person at the service counter. Some services are not covered by OHIP and you’ll have to pay upfront out of pocket.

There’s seating for about 20 people. The TV monitor on the wall displays the wait times before you’re seen by a lab technician.

Staff were polite and efficient. I was in/out in 30 minutes.

Better than what it was. Very friendly staff. Fast, ya sometimes you have to wait oh well it happens. Overall nice staff.

Generally service is good. Usually they open at 8 am. But Sunday opening time is 9 a.m. unaware of it, I went early but after 8 am, on a Sunday. Inside the Shoppers Drug, there was a lineup for Dynacare. Why not Dynacare keep tokens at the door? So that people who come early know their turn and sit or shop comfortably inside Shoppers Drugmart till Dynacare is open. Will Dynacare listen and make the seniors and others feel comfortable ( and avoid standing)?

I had to do a blood test and decided try Dynacare at Lawrence and Kennedy location. I waited only 20 minutes and met with Josefina Santos she was amazing as I am afraid of needles. She was so very gentle and keep speaking to me just to make me feel comfortable and relaxed it worked like a charm. I also like how you can see your name on the TV and when you are next. I have a great experience highly recommend this place and I hope you get to meet Josefina.
