I absolutely love the idea exchange, everyone is so helpful and friendly. It's great for printing documents from your phone, especially if you don't have a printer and not very computer savvy. Not to mention borrowing books for free,I've spent a ton of money buying books but this is the way to go.
In case you didn't realize, Idea Exchange is what we call the library in Cambridge. Ours is great! The catalog is on computer and there are extra computers that you can sign on to use for limited amounts of time. There are also study or meeting rooms that you can book and we have three branches. I go to the Queen Street one there's also one in Hespeler and in Preston. You can request books from the other branches and they will transfer them in for you. There are also events that take place. There are authors reading their books, children's programs, Etc and at the Queen Street branch there is a beautiful grand piano where some recitals and small concerts take place in the lobby.
What a fantastic place! The library has 3 floors, lots of space and resources. As a parent of a young child, we love the top floor that is dedicated to kids. So many beautiful books and they have toys too! They even swap them every day. How thoughtful.
You meet other parents with young kids there too so that's really nice.
My 3 year old loves going there and always finds something new to discover or someone new to play with. I am so happy I can teach her love for library and curiosity from very young age.
Clean, well staffed, organized and a fabulous community resource. The art gallery has thought provoking and valuable collections. The children's programs are engaging and creative.
