For $8.49 taxes in... this has to be one of the best value options near the UW area. The owner is super friendly as well which is a plus!
For the food I ordered #10 pork chop on rice.. the pork was super crispy and flavourful, the veggies were all right and it came with pickled raddish as well. The next time if I were to order this again I would probably tell them to put less sauce on the rice. As it got soggy by the time I went back to the place I was staying.
Delicious home-styled Taiwanese food! The owner is very sweet and the service is fast despite lunch hour rushes.
The server is very friendly and welcoming and the prices are fairly cheap.
Despite cheap prices, portion sizes are very filling and food is pretty decent. Would recommend one of the rice dishes.
The server is really friendly. Ordered the three spice chicken(三杯鸡) and it did not disappoint. Chicken was cooked with authentic taiwanese method and the quality of meat is real nice. Wait can be a bit long (I waited almost 15 minutes) but the food is worth its price.
From first impressions, wasn't too pleased since I waited 40 minutes for my food when there were other individuals coming in after me and receiving their food within 5-10 minutes. I looked around and compared to my delayed noodle order, everyone who received their food quickly, ordered rice dishes. Getting down to the food, it's simply delicious. It's the right amount of flavour and the portion is perfect for the price. Post-meal, I relaxed in my seat, stomach satisfied for about 5 minutes. Upon paying, the owner was friendly, politely explained and apologized for the delay. Communication between the owner and consumer can be improved throughout the experience to reduce misunderstandings. Since it's privately owned, the owners determine their own times and one may not always catch them during their operating hours. It's not considered fast food so if you want quick service, I'd recommend their rice dishes. Not sure about their snacks, soups, or other dishes. But, if you have the time, I'd still recommend trying their noodle dishes. Otherwise, my overall experience justifies a solid 4/5.
