“Beautiful, well maintained, family-friendly campground! We visited Nith River for the 1st time last summer, and the owners were incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful at all times. The other campers made the campground such a friendly, personable community. My children and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back this summer! They loved the pool especially, which was always clean and toys were provided. The stars at night are an incredible sight. Staying there was a DREAM!”

Walker Woods

Address: New Hamburg, ON N3A 0A3, Canada

Park

“NOTE: Currently closed due to danger of falling trees and tree limbs from ash trees infected with emerald ash borer. The ash trees are scheduled for removal, after which the trails will reopen - What is Walker Woods Trail? 2 km hiking trail. 2 loops in a figure eight pattern allow a short (half a kilometre) hike if you do the short loop (accessible from the parking lot at Bonaventure Drive), or a full 2km by doing both loops (accessible from both the parking lot or from 2107 Walker Road). This trail is a little rough - natural, unpaved. Very easy for a hiker, but not a good trail for people who don't do well on uneven ground, can't step over branches, etc. Not good for wheelchairs or strollers. The area can be muddy. There are several small streams or muddy sections that are passable by carefully walking over makeshift paths of fallen logs and branches. The woods are flanked by farmer's fields. Be respectful. Stay to the paths and avoid areas marked by private property signs. Parking: A small parking lot off Bonaventure Drive leads to the trail entrance. Or park on the side of Walker Road. What to bring: In the spring and summer bring insect repellent. Mosquitos bite! What to see: We went in the spring and the area was carpeted in trillium, violets, jack-in-the-pulpit, etc. Birds were singing (spotted a scarlet tanager!) Saw a snake too. Lovely little natural area.”

Holiday Beach RV Park

Address: 1652 Puddicombe Rd, New Hamburg, ON N3A 2Z4, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“Nice campground, great family place to go to. They didn't fill the toilet paper dispensers tho and that would have been helpful. It also sucks that the water quality in the lake didn't meet the standard. They do have a pool tho and a rec center with lots of other things to do”
