Frank and his crew are knowledgable, polite and very skilled mechanics. Their quotes and prices are very reasonable. Interesting thing too is that every time I go there, they teach me something about mechanics and car design, but not in a patronizing way - they just know how to communicate very well with their customers. Make sure to phone in advance for they are quite busy.

I grew up almost nextdoor to a shop like this, Hanlon's. Same people worked there for years, not transient teenagers, the staff were part of the neighborhood.

Frank's is like that. You'll stop here for fuel or to get your vehicle sorted, the service is fast and the location is easy to access, the people are friendly, but you'll keep coming back because this kind of place barely exists anymore - you'll sense it the first time you chat with one of the people at Frank's for more than a cursory hello- they know the neighborhood, the people who live here because they are also part of the place. You get more than just car help/fuel here, it's this kind of shop that makes the Ward great, these kinds of places are what construct the web/heart of a neighborhood.

So, yeah, I guess I'd recommend stopping here. ☺

Slow on service. Big on price. Old and outdated shop with a back yard mechanic. If it's complicated don't bring it here but do let them change the oil and rotate the tires.
