“I've been here before. I've been here on multiple occasions. It's all true; I wrote a nice little journal piece about each of my many visits to this location. Often, when I visit a place as unique and dastardly as this one, I will take time out of my day to write in my personal journal about all the places that I have visited. I have visited this library on a Tuesday, a Wednesday, and a Monday. I rather enjoyed the Monday visit; I have a somewhat soothing feeling boiling inside of my heart about the Tuesday visit, and I ended up with a tremendous cough and cold from the Wednesday visit. The cough and the cold were treated with a home remedy of gasoline and cornstarch. Which brings me to my assessment of the facilities. If you were to ask me years ago if I had ever considered reviewing a local library, I would have shuddered in my shoes, for who has time to partake in such a cruel and mundane endeavor? With the advent of computers, we are all busier than ever.”

“The hours of service are quite good, access to Internet is good. The collection, though, is rather meager.”

“good library and staff - but, what is up with the homeless people moving in here now? taking over. seems like a problem that is being ignored by management (“inclusivity”?).. can understand that times are tough, but are there no other resources available? seems like a major fail on the part of the city. this really should be dealt with, because i cannot see this ending well! putting people (staff, visitors and children especially, in harms way!) some strange characters that aren’t really considerate of the fact that the library is a shared space for everyone… it’s a sensitive issue, i get it, but being handled quite poorly!”

“This is a beautiful, well organised space. I am scanning all my slides and negatives here. The Epson V800 does a great job, allowing scans up to 2300 ppi. You can scan 12 slides at a time. I will also scan (the Audio Technica digital record player handles 45, 33, 78) some old 78s of family recordings. There is also a complete photography studio with cameras , lighting soft boxes and green key background. The audio lab is very nice. There are two small 3D printers and a vinyl cutter. The space is also full of 27" macs to work on your pictures, video and audio files. Call during their business hours to book equipment with your Laval Avantage card.”

“The Library is a nice quiet place to sit and read or take a book home but also have computers that you can use. Bench outside if you want to sit in the fresh air. Lots of programs to sign up for. You can also borrow skates if you don't have any of your own.”

“This is a great little library! We’ve been enjoying their kids activity program a lot this summer. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff”

“The library here is definitely a huge plus about living in Radium! The librarians are all lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable and delightful to chat with. The space is also very nice to be in, with lots of light and some comfy chairs, and though understandably the on-site selection of books is quite small the Inter-Library Loan system is amazing - you order a book online from a library in BC, and then it gets posted to the library and you get to pick it up! It's a fantastic fantastic system! I am enjoying having access to such a nice library so much, and I look forward to having some more time to participate in library programs over the winter.”

“A cozy library that boasts a play area for children and a fireplace for the winter months. It holds fewer books than the Courtenay location but the peaceful aura and the brightly colored walls lends itself to a more relaxed atmosphere. Also has a very comfortable seating area with a wide variety of magazine selections and a television for events hosted at the library.”

“Great place to read calmly, study or just brainstorm with a group of people. Staff is very nice and helpful. Be sure to have a resident (or non resident) card from Sainte Thérèse City to be able to enjoy all the services available at the library. You can actually apply for one on site at the library. It's WAY better than most public libraries in Laval & Montreal (at least that I've been to)”

“Taylor is a great library with lots of seating. The top level can be packed and it’s pretty irritating when one person takes a booth meant for 4+. Food and drink aren’t allowed but there’s lot of places right outside of it for you to eat. I would recommend studying here over studying in Weldon.”

“The employee asked me for my card to reserve a spot to sit in the study area, I explained that I live in Montreal and I don't have any. So he suggested I got back to my local library or study sitting on the Grass outdoors because the library is only to be used by Laval residents. I demanded to speak to the manager, she was a lovely lady who told him to make me a visitor's card, the employee apologized . I'm glad the manager was there.”
