“Lovely bakery on the road. Worth the stop. Its delicious, bread, brioche, pastey and sandwiches... everything looks amazing. The service is great and they sell many local products such as preserves and sauces. There are gluten free options. There's an outdoor sitting area for sunny days. You have to try the espresso bun, it's to die for!”

“Hands down the best and most authentic pizza on the island. The pizzas were overflowing with local fresh toppings and the crust was fluffy and tender. We also purchased the stuffed meatballs in sauce and can't say enough about them. BarVela is a definate "must stop" on your culinary tour of the island.”

“This was a total surprise find. We were driving down this dirt road to check out the lighthouse (visiting from Calgary) and came across this cute little restaurant at the end of the road. We had no idea it was even there so surprised they asked us for reservations. We didn’t have any but we were able to order take out and enjoy sitting outside on the picnic tables instead. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Even enjoyed a nice glass of wine. We went with a basic grilled cheese which was good. It’s a beautiful spot to soak up the water, views and just relax.”
