“We ended up finding this motel over the summer when the airlines stranded us in Canada for FOUR days. To make the best of it, we rented a second car and drove to PEI. We lived this little spot and how helpful the employees were! The rooms were a bit small for the four of us, but very comfortable and clean! Great location, too. Oh, and we got to see the baby ospreys in their nest!”

“Really nice room and great staff! Only downside for me was the water pressure and temperature in the shower. Only had about 5 minutes of hot water then turned cold. Overall I'd stay there again!!!!”

“John and Natasha are 2 of the kindest people you will meet. They put their hearts into their cottages and it shows. We have stayed at their cottages several years now and the cottages are always in pristine shape as well John and Natasha do their best to take care of your needs. They also add extra touches every year to improve already awesome cottages. All 3 of their cottages have a bathroom, 2 bedrooms with a queen and a double bed, a kitchen, a large porch, an eating area and living room area with T.V and DVD. They have a great décor and are some of the nicest cottages on the island. The cottages are situated in a great spot on the island making it easy to get to both sides of the island but also minutes from the beaches. P.E.I is one of the most picturesque places to visit and staying with John and Natasha will help make your experience a great one.”

“Wonderful family campground with lots of amenities. The grounds and facilities are very clean and well maintained. Lots of kids activities including playgrounds, heated pool and hayrides. There are a number of seasonal sites, and those residents are very friendly. Great hot showers and laundry on site. Close to Cavendish and Charlottetown and the Confederation Trail. We had a very nice 6 night stay here.”

“Stayed a couple of times in the past. Rooms are good in the main building, others are acceptable but could be improved. Staff was absolutely great though. Very friendly and accommodating. Thank you.”

“This was a great spot to stay. We had 5 families staying here over the weekend.ots if room for the kids to play. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. Heat pumps in all units so it was easy to set it for comfort. Staff were great, location was close to everything and we will definately be back. Highly recommended in my opinion. Check it out for yourself.”

“What a lovely place to stay! Nice central location for many things, so clean, amazing hosts, lovely comfortable beds and environment and what a breakfast! Every day was a new fantastic feast that always started with fresh squeezed tropical juice, coffee or tea and yogurt with granola and fresh fruits. The second delicious round was waffles and cream one day, eggs benny another and a mind blowing banana bread french toast our final day. Everything about our stay was just perfect! I couldn't recommend this place enough!”

“Roger was fantastic. We are a family of six (4 young children) traveling the East Coast, after a great night's sleep and a breakfast that hit the spot-we were rejuvenated and ready for the road. He was so friendly and easy to chat with, our children are still talking about how nice Roger was and how much they liked his home. He had so many options for breakfast and offered to do a load of laundry for me. He is a very kind and generous man- my family and I very highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast, if we ever happen to be in this area again we will most definitely be coming back. The location was perfect, not far from restaurants/shopping or the water. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms had everything you would want to freshen up with.”

“Very nice hosts, very comfortable pillows and beds, nice tv, nice kitchen. The only complaints are minor: as it is a half-basement, it can get quite humid (Hosts were very understanding and provided us with a second dehumidifier which resolved that issue.) And the other problem is that there can be a lot of insects sometimes. Hosts gave us a nice gift at the end, and the provided pass for the national park is a very nice touch. We look forward to coming here again!”

“My husband and I stayed at the Dawson House in August 2021, just as the Island was opening back up to visitors. Although we could not experience a hot sit-down breakfast due to restrictions ("to-go" tea, coffee, fruits and pastries were available each morning instead), Stacey and Randy went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We were in the Victoria room and it was so beautiful. We were comfortable, had tons of privacy, access to an ensuite bathroom with tub - and the room gets so much natural sunlight, which we loved. We felt so welcome. And the short walk to historic Charlottetown was perfect distance for us. We would definitely stay here again, and hope to do so this coming summer - travel restrictions permitting!”

“Absolutely loved my stay here. The location was just close enough to the main areas (10 minute walk to the shore) while still being away from a lot of traffic. The rooms were clean and quaint, and the hostess was absolutely wonderful-not to mention she made the best breakfasts! Will definitely stay here again when I'm out this way.”

“Very charming old inn, nice friendly people, bathroom is very small for a large person. Had to sit sideways on the toilet. Very small shower, hard time moving around in the shower stall. And the suit of armor outside our door is a little creapy”

“A very cozy hotel with great location, attentive host and hostess, comfortable room as well as delicious breakfast! The room is nicely decorated and well maintained, equipped with kettles, coffer makers and all the bathing items. You could feel that the host and hostess are taking care of each details to make the guests stay comfortable and feel at home. The buffet breakfast in the comfortable dinning room is rich in variety and freshness in materials. Besides, each day there is a special offer for breakfast made on the spot, such as Benedict, Omelette and etc. We had a wonderful 3nights-stay here and hope we could stay longer!Highly recommend it! We would definitely choose this hotel for our next trip in PEI!”

“The Elmwood Heritage Inn looms above you and gives Addams Family vibes as you're climbing the steps to the front porch. For us, it was perfect as we love these old places and we loved the Elmwood! The grounds are very well-maintained, there is a lovely sitting area out front and there is loads of parking. We were greeted at the front door by a little Japanese lady. She was friendly as she checked us in. She gave us a map of the area and explained how to get to the downtown area - which is a hop, skip and a jump away. We actually took our bikes and toured the whole downtown core easily. Very well-located! As we were gathering our luggage from the car, one of the owners, a super friendly Chinese man, came out and grabbed all our bags and hauled them straight up to our room. Wonderful service! Our room was on the second floor. The stairs are a little narrow and steep and they curve at the top which is pretty much a given in these old Victoria homes so don't bring a giant, bus-sized suitcase like I did. You will struggle. The room was huge and so comfy! We had a big, Queen-sized bed and a little sitting area with two fluffy, high-backed chairs that you sank into. The bathroom was large and bright and had one of those old-fashioned claw foot tubs with the shower curtain that goes all the way around. Everything was very neat and clean. We had loads of extra towels, a hair dryer, iron (which came in handy!) and lots of extra toiletries like soaps, razor blades, cotton balls, etc. As this is a heritage inn, the décor is verrrrry antique right down to the gaudy floral wallpaper, the paintings on the wall, the furniture and the crocheted cover for the tissue boxes so if you're expecting an ultra-modern Hilton-type place, this isn't the place for you. Rather, it is like stepping back in time to something out of Road to Avonlea but it fits and gives the inn a lovely authentic feel. But rest assured that modern conveniences such as wifi, AC and cable television are in all the rooms. The only drawback - which isn't really a drawback but rather my own personal pettiness - they don't clean your room everyday like other hotels. We stayed two days and there was no change of towels, making of the bed, general tidying, etc. I'm a snotty, spoiled traveler (ha!) who loves clean towels and a made bed so I noticed straight away when it wasn't done. But did it ruin our trip? Absolutely not! We looooved our stay at the Elmwood! It had everything we wanted, the owners / staff were lovely and we'd recommend it to anyone headed into the Charlottetown area. We fully plan to stay there again.”

“We enjoyed our stay in this cozy inn! The home is beautiful and historic and the owner was very friendly and kind. We loved the proximity to downtown Charlottetown and the quiet location. Be aware of the small shower and staircase if you have accessibility issues, but as this is a historic site it is expected that they would not have an elevator. I would recommend staying here!”

“We had such a great time! We were only planning on staying one night but requested a second night because we liked it that much. The room that we had the first night was already booked for our second night so we had to choose another room but it also had a great view of the water. The breakfast was delicious and the manager Nancy was very attentive and super friendly. There was plenty of parking and was within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. One of the rooms had a shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser which I haven't seen anywhere else and prefer it over single use plastic bottles because it's more environmentally friendly. We can't wait until our next trip to PEI, we always have such a nice time, thanks!”
