Absolutely the best. Try it, you'll see.
This place is absolutely amazing. We tried going back two times only to find out they are only open Wednesday to Saturday 10-6. I cried a little. The pie is amazing. But I've never had anything in my life better then the round apple stuffed pastry. It's to die for. We will be back!!!
Small outfit that produces everything they grow and feed. Worth supporting local businesses.
Some of the best baking on the Island.
Hubby loves their oatmeal -raisin-peanut butter cookies. Don't want to cook one night? Their frozen meat pies are a complete meal. Preserves, fresh vegetables, home made crafts, flowers.
You just need to discover this little gem on PEI.
What a TREAT!!
For organic vegetable and flower plants, baking, fresh eggs, fresh bread and great chicken/beef pies - all organic of course! - this place is great!
It's owned and operated by truly lovley Mennonite folk. You can visit Ellen in the greenhouses - chalk full of beautiful, healthy vegetables and flowers all at a very reasonable prices. Both of my tomato plants already had flowers and a tomato on then and I couldn't resist some of the large, colourful annuals (and I'm of Scottish background so I'm pretty darned expert at resisting parting with my shckles, but the colours and the prices were just too good!) Also, if you're a first-time gardener, Ellen can tell you all you need to know to grow!!
Then you can go in the back (if you meet Flossy the cute little speckled dog on your way, she'll gladly accept tummy rubs!) to see what Alma's cooking...the pies (fruit and meat), squares, muffins, tarts and bread are glorious! She's also taking orders for roaster chcikens and they do quarter beef also. They even had briskette on hand!
I'm sure there was more, but I was transfixed on the orange drop squares and my brain just stopped working!
I can't recommend this place highly enough...they are a creidt to the Island and a well-needed treat in these trying times.
