“We were on a road trip yesterday checking out some of the local provincial parks when we popped in here for a quick snack. After looking at all the delicious things available, a 'quick snack' became a lunch with snacks for later! We both had an egg salad sandwich, that the staff mixed up fresh for each one - the bread was light and soft; they were so good. My husband had a cinnamon roll that he said was very tasty (I didn't even get a bite!) and I had a ginger crinkle cookie that I couldn't eat all at once it was so big. I got to enjoy it later with some tea. It was just like the ones my dad makes back home. The staff were really kind and thoughtful - you can tell that they all enjoy working with each other. Would have loved to try their chocolate bark, cake roll, or pie if we'd had the appetite. Prices were more than reasonable for the quality and quantity. Definitely would recommend!”

“Oh boy! What a treat. This place is no secret to tourists and locals alike. Everyone on the island knows about Olde Village Bakery. We stopped by this morning to pick up some delicious freshly baked sweets. And, we highly recommend that you do too! This place is worth driving out of your way to find. The bakery is located at a busy intersection. Therefore, getting in and out might be challenging. The parking lot is a bit small, but everyone seemed to manage.”

Perfect curd filling in a flaky croissant pastry. A true delight! It's evident that co-owner Kristen has a genuine passion for her craft as a baker and a barista. “Visiting PEI from Germany I found Angelikas German Pastry Shop in Hunter River and I also visited her at the Farmers Market in Charlottetown. Her Display Case looks amazing, just mouth watering. I do love KAESE SAHNE TORTE so much and Angelika offers this type of Torte with peaches inside and on the top. It`s so fresh and fruity. A highlight of my rainy day in PEI. I also tried the TOBLERONE TORTE. Lots of Toblerone pieces are nestled between rich choc. and vanilla Mousse in layers of Hazelnut cake and fluffy browny cake. Lots of SWISS choc. on top and whole pieces of crunchy Toblerone chocolate. Absolutely delicious. The best choc. Torte I`ve ever had. And it turns out Gluten free. She said it`s also possible to order in dairy free.”

“Now this place hand makes bakery goods, sandwiches and pizza to order. It had the best deli sandwiches I've had on our month long vacation to PEI. I had a chicken club sandwich, a chicken salad sandwich and my wife had an egg and cheese 🧀 sandwich 🥪 on oat bread. We liked it so much we turned around and went back. Wow! Five stars for awesome local food and atmosphere.”

“The best coffee in PEI. We have had an opportunity to visit this location as well as their location at Confederation Landing. We've been blown away by the service and friendliness of the staff, and even more impressed by the coffee and tea. Spoke with one of the staff members, indicated that their main roast at the time was from the Honduras. We keep coming back because it is delicious. They also have a variety of freshly baked breads, including sourdough, you can take home. Daily food specials and desserts, and love that there's an option for a sangria or mimosa. Great stop and will keep coming back.”

“In addition to amazing pastries, Wenever has gone above and beyond. My daughter’s cherished reusable bubble tea cup from here (btw awesome bubble tea) was destroyed and she was so sad. “We always come for breakfast on the way to work. They really stepped up their game and the new breakfast sandwiches and their classic breakfast are very tasty. The coffee is always good and overall they are extremely consistent at this location. Most of the Tim's depends on who's working so sometimes its great or it is terrible. This is also a bit cheaper than Tim's which means we will keep coming back”
