We stayed at the Olde Anchor for a few nights while on a cycling trip across PEI. Our stay was a wonderful experience. The B&B is in a charming heritage house. Our room, though small, was very comfortable. We loved having access to the parlour and the sunroom - we spent time there reading while it rained outside. Mary and Tony are wonderful hosts - warm and hospitable. We enjoyed our long conversations. And then there are Mary's breakfasts - oh my goodness. The breakfasts are creative, tasty and huge. We wished we could have stayed longer. Be sure to book on their own website rather than the major hotel sites.
We had a lovely 2 night stay with Mary, Tony; Danny (the best dog) and Boo, Parsley and Sage (mostly shy cats). Individual rooms are very spacious and comfy, as is the bed! Nice ensuite bath for convenience. Great food and great hosts! Beautiful beaches nearby and lots of lighthouses to see. Highly recommend The Olde Anchor Bed & Breakfast!
Full disclosure - knew them both before their adventures took them to their forever home in Murray River.
It's too bad that I can only give 5 stars. This place deserves way more than that. Mary and Tony, I can't thank you enough for the stay. My husband and I stayed an entire week at The Olde Anchor and were so happy with our stay we booked again for next year. We were greeted by Mary who was so welcoming and was so helpful with all of our questions about the island. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is absolutely stunning! The property overlooks the harbour and right down below is the best place to get a lobster roll. The place is clean and the beds are so comfortable. There is not going to be enough room on this page to describe the absolute treasure we have found in this place. We were made to feel like guests of their home so much that I felt bad not helping with the breakfast and clean up.
Thank you for the memories and the lifelong friendships we have made thanks to Mary and Tony at The Olde Anchor Bed and Breakfast. Can't wait to see you next year.
My husband and I had a most delightful stay in the harbour room at the Olde Anchor Bed and Breakfast from July 3-6, 2022. Our queen bed was most comfortable, and the inn is so quiet--great for good sleeping! Each morning, Mary had a delicious breakfast ready for us to enjoy before heading out for the day. I tried three different dishes, but my favorite was the breakfast banana split--absolutely delicious! During our three days in PEI, I came to love Mary's pets. A dog person myself, her dog and cats made the inn feel like home for me. Mary is the very best host--kind, gracious, and hospitable. Just in talking with Mary on the phone, she felt like a friend, and upon leaving, I truly felt like I was telling a friend goodbye. When my family returns to PEI, we will definitely hope to stay with Mary again. She is the best!
We had an amazing girls trip at The Olde Anchor! Gorgeous home with plenty of space and lots of natural light. The hot tub was exactly what we needed to relax.
Mary is an excellent host! She has everything you could need and has an amazing breakfast menu. The food was absolutely delicious! Her hospitality is so warm and welcoming.
5/5 for Danny the dog as well! He made our stay even better!
