Island Chef At The Pier

This place is an absolute MUST try if you're in the area. The indoor eating space leaves a bit to be desired, but the chef/owner and good absolutely makes up for it. We started with Oysters and the Seafood Chowder. I'm from Nova Scotia, so I know these things as well as anyone and I can honestly say both were as good as I've ever had in a restaurant. My wife had the Seafood Linguine and I had Mango Shrimp Curry. Again, both were outstanding and I've had authentic curry in Britain. The chef was incredibly personable and obviously very talented. We wish him all the success and will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

We truly enjoyed our experience. The food was delicious. We tried the tamarind and ginger wings as a starter and would come back just for those. I had the Lamb Korma, just enough heat and the pickle was delicious. My husband had the surf and turf and said delicious in particular the grilled vegetables. The view is lively, great service and Chef Nish was multi tasking as chef, and server. Food was hot and no delays. We will be back!

We really enjoyed the delicious food and beautiful waterfront view! Lots of menu options, including the typical grill items but also some Indian options.

We thought the Atlantic Salmon was a little overcooked/dry but the Tuna Steak was wonderful. Beer came in a chilled glass which was a nice touch.

Service was a little slow but still pleasant. Seating was comfortable and staff were very friendly.

Our experience was phenomenal. We could not have been happier with our meal. The price-point was fantastic given the culinary expertise that was evident in the delicious meal that was provided. I would recommend making the voyage from Charlottetown, during which time you can take in the beautiful Island scenery before arriving at this fantastic destination

If you want amazing service and delicious food with lots of variety you need to come here! The staff and chef of this restaurant are so down to earth and truly value their guests experience. The chef personally came to our table to ask how we enjoyed our meal and even gave us tips on activities to do around PEI. Brandon and the other female waitress (didn’t get her name!) were very attentive and sweet ☺️ It must be something in the island air because it was a wonderful experience and delicious food (we’ve been back at least twice…and will be back again!)
