“Located at Cavendish National Park, the Homestead Trail and a bunch of other trails are prefect for hiking and biking. The Homestead Trail is a 10km (6.6 miles) loop trail taking you along fields with beautiful wild flowers, waterways and wooded areas of the national park. The trails are well maintained with great trail markers and signage. There are picnic tables at various places. Entry fee to the Cavendish National Park for day visit is $7,25CAD per person. There is campsites but at higher rate. Definitely a must visit place on the island.”

“It is a nice family run business, it seems, and the best part is they are open longer than most of the places on the island. I tried their lobster roll, which was one of the best ones I had. The lobster was fresh, and it had flavor. The bun was soft, and it was nicely balanced. It was for $28, so a little pricey, but I guess fresh sea food is expensive. Well kept place and fast service. The beer on tap is also good.”

“Had a really enjoyable time here. Nice facilities that were clean when we were there. I think a 4.5 is a better rating as the beach is quite rocky and hard to enjoy for swimming. That said the sandcastle making was lots of fun. Overall beautiful views, just keep in mind the trees in the area show evidence of the hurricanes that have come through. Also, check out the Sunset and Stars hike put on by Canada Parks.”

“This cottages are clean and cosy, really close to the beach and Cavendish’s must sees. It’s quiet on the evenings and the swimming pool is the cherry of the cake ! Beside that, Seaside Cottage is a real gem due to the owners ! They’re the sweetest and most helpful people I met on PEI. They really know the area, probably because they own the cottage since 3 generations, and can give you many advices ! Staying at seaside cottage to visit cavendish was the best decision of my entire trip. Thanks again, Erna and Doug, for your rare kindness and hospitality !”

“Rating it at a 4 Star - overall experience was great! Fun! & staff were friendly and great 🙂 The prices do seem quite a bit high - as we have had photos done in Niagara Falls also the same and prices were alot better there. We get a total of 5 photos (only 3 photos as 2 are repeats) for $172.00. As they charge PER person in the photo aswell (which I don't see how the number of people matter) We don't mind paying it due to being able to afford it (at the time) but not everyone can work with those prices & lots may miss out on it.”

“Walking along the path provided a lovely view of the wild wonders the island has to offer. Though the recent hurricane uprooted and damaged numerous trees along the path, the wild growth coming in more than makes up for it. My personal favorite is the glint of white along the foot of the trail that is otherwise shadowed in some locations. Sadly, some of the dunes lost much of their volume in the storm.”

“This music festival was an absolutely amazing experience that had our entire group of 10 people itching to go back this year. The grounds are a great size that limits walking time between stages but offers so many other fun activities in the down time while waiting for your favorite artist. The cider and drinks are excellent and the vibe of the masses of fans in incomparable to any typical indoor venue. The food did not impress me that much and was quite over priced. I wish they would have had atleast a few healthy options as you are there for 3 whole days. Overall if you are a fan or country music this is where you need to be this summer. The beautiful Prince Edward Island views and the amazing music and sounds of the concerts are something that I will not soon forget. Tickets are affordable but be warned accommodations need to be book pretty much in January to find anything even remotely close to walking distance from the festival. Also the accommodations are quite pricey. I suggest making sure you find your accommodations before buying your tickets to the festival.”

“Really great area of PEI National Park - the rocky red sandstone coast is right by the road, with plenty of beach areas to the sides. There's lots of area for walking and biking. There's two main parking spots on this side of the park. Plenty of very nice lookout points.”

“Minutes from the cliffs, beaches and lookout points. There’s a Tim’s on the corner and all the fun you want is right down the road. These cottages are gems. Nothing fancy, just perfect little homes away from homes. Very comfortable. The grounds are well-maintained, there is a clean pool, community fire pit where you can get to know your neighbours if you like, and the staff treat you like family.”

“Excellent local restaurant in the heart of Cavendish! Portions are large, and there are plenty of vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options available. Their patio has two levels, so lots of room to enjoy the sunshine with a local beverage and fresh lobster. They also have high chairs and coloring/crayon activities for children. Strongly recommend the red pepper dip to share with friends. Their fish and chips are generously portioned with big slabs of fish and great fries! Burrito bowl is just fair - would have liked the beans and rice to be warmer so it would help melt the shredded cheese but it was still tasty with their "comeback sauce". Overall a nice dine-in option when you're in the area visiting or on vacation.”

Otherwise the location was quiet near several beach accesses. The location was perfect. Managers were friendly.”

“This venue is like a British soap opera -- hasn't changed much in 20+ years since I visited it as a kid. Still a great activity when beach-time is not an option. Basically a permanent midway with a few extra activities like mini golf and bumper boats. Compared to a traditional mid-way, the bracelet prices are reasonable ($32/person in 2023). If you take part in more than 4 activities, your bracelet pays for itself. I have kids aged 10-16 and there were enough activities to justify the expense ($175 taxes in for a family of 5 -- we spent 3+ hours there and the kids said it was the highlight of our stay on the Island). It is important to know that go-karts and carnival games are NOT included in the bracelet and cost around $8/activity. Was a life-saver on an overcast day on the Island. The Cyclone is still one of the best mini roller coasters in the world and my kids were able to ride it 3 times in less than an hour. Lineups are "Costco"-like...they move fast and are worth the wait. Biggest downside is the number of rides that are down for maintenance without announcement. Two rides were out of service -- something you don't know before buying a ticket. Having said that, compared to prices at the Capital Exhibition in Ottawa (and the time spent waiting in lines), this was a good use of time and money for a younger family in PEI.”

“The PitStop go-karts are so much fun! I love driving through the underpasses and over the overpasses, and sometimes you can even drift around those corners if the track is wet! The Karts are really fast so you can get in alot of laps! They are definitely worth paying a little bit extra for! I'd also recommend Race Nights for the best deal, because who doesn't love Unlimited Go-karts!!!”

“I see there are a lot of mixed reviews for this course however our experience was definitely a positive one. The course itself is beautiful, well maintained, very kid-friendly with varying degrees of difficulty (but nothing too hard). The lack of fencing at each hole can be frustrating because you need to be careful and not putt too hard into the next hole but this can be mitigated by strategically putting.”
