“We were on a road trip yesterday checking out some of the local provincial parks when we popped in here for a quick snack. After looking at all the delicious things available, a 'quick snack' became a lunch with snacks for later! We both had an egg salad sandwich, that the staff mixed up fresh for each one - the bread was light and soft; they were so good. My husband had a cinnamon roll that he said was very tasty (I didn't even get a bite!) and I had a ginger crinkle cookie that I couldn't eat all at once it was so big. I got to enjoy it later with some tea. It was just like the ones my dad makes back home. The staff were really kind and thoughtful - you can tell that they all enjoy working with each other. Would have loved to try their chocolate bark, cake roll, or pie if we'd had the appetite. Prices were more than reasonable for the quality and quantity. Definitely would recommend!”

“A hidden gem, we stopped in after visiting the MacAusland Woollen Mill (another find!). This little school house is packed with beautiful locally made things … from jam to fudge, paintings and photos, hooked rugs and beautiful knit and crochet items. Toys (less than $20 for a bucket of reusable water balloons!!) Fabulous Woven baskets and even a fanciful ugly stick for celebrating Christmas Newfoundland style. Beautiful baby gifts, quilts, hats, jewelry. And all locally made. Love it!”

“Friends and I travelled down from Quebec to PEI. One of my friends lost her crochet hook from home on our drive up and was devastated that she could not crochet on the beach as planned. We ran into the lovely owners of Fabric Crafts'n More Quilt Gallery at the Potato Museum. They generously welcomed us into their shop just after closing for the day. My friend was easily able to find her crochet hook and other accessories for an affordable price. The shop is so organized and colourful. The owners are absolute sweethearts who are clearly passionate about needlework. 10/10 would recommend.”
