“Stayed there for one night in a small tent as I was touring PEI on my bicycle. Not really any tent sites but an open field...so I picked the best one and got setup. Bathrooms were nice and clean. It was nice to have water and power plus I love sites that are all grass. But the mosquitoes got nasty later that night. I called to make a reservation but just got voice message. Also nobody at the front Gate...so I never paid my nights stay as I had no idea what else to do. But I do appreciate accommodation as I was in PEI for a total of 8 days.”

“Camping out in the rural areas east of Richmond, my son and I were put in a pickle when sky lightning struck a tree beside our tent. The arboreal giant cracked with a roar and fell down upon us, breaking both of our legs. I managed to free us from its grip with my trusty pocket knife, and we began to crawl towards human civilization. Although Cross River was nearest, I was aware of Richmond Dairy Bar and its reputation of excellence and superiority. I was certain that if we were to find aid, it would surely be here. I was not disappointed! The staff rushed out to gather us as we crawled towards them with our gnarled, useless lower halves. Immediately they implemented first aid training, before providing us with the life saving nutrition of milkshakes and hard ice cream. My son and I convalesced for three days and three nights in their establishment, supported throughout this trial with various dairy products of the utmost quality. Eventually we were collected by paramedics. I recommend the licorice milkshake! It is supreme!”

“This was only one of two campsites still open in October. We chose this one over the one in Cavendish because it looked close to the beach. Wow not disappointed and beyond anything we expected. Beach is a short walk and best sunsets!!! The people at this campground (seasonal) are so welcoming and friendly. I can't even begin to explain downhome hospitality to people who just don't know what that means, but these people are the epitome of that expression. Campground is clean and new owners are doing all they can to make it an amazing experience for everyone. Thank you Andrew for an amazing weekend.”
