Michele and David clearly put a lot of detail into the experience of staying at Reunion Cottages - from their detailed email communications (including suggestions for things to do the morning of a rainy day), to their beautifully designed cottages, amenities like brand new sauna, playground, covered picnic tables, BBQs, board games, bikes to take out (recently maintained as well) - not to mention they are super friendly and kind warm people. Very attentive and helpful, making us feel right at home.
If you want peace and quiet away from the bustle of tourist PEI, this is the place. 5 minute walk to the beach - you can hear the ocean from your door! Cannot wait to come back to Reunion.
Came with a large group, and this place was perfect! Cozy cottages with everything you need. Incredible play area for kids with a nice fire pit for nighttime relaxation. There is even a sauna. Under 10 min walk to Stanhope beach. 100% stay here again! Michele and David (owners) are wonderful.
We had three generations of our family stay for a week, Michele and Dave couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. Our two year old granddaughter loved being able to go to the beach everyday, (which is actually more picturesque than the pictures, if that is possible !) and play on the newly erected playground. The cottages were very comfortable with everything that one needs. There was lots to do with everything just a short jaunt away, including the capital Charlottetown. A well deserved 5 star review from us !
p.s. when you are there be sure to check out Fin Folk Food, the fish and chips and fish tacos are excellent !
My extended family and I stayed here at the end of June/beginning of July 2023 and we had an incredible experience. Michele and David are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and cared for.
From the first email exchange, it was evident how much care and attention Michele and David put into their guests and their experience. With three kids, including a 1-year-old, we needed accommodations that could cater to our needs. Michele went out of her way to find a great cottage that could accommodate a pack-and-play, which they even provided for us, along with a high chair - incredibly thoughtful of her and we truly appreciated this extra effort.
We booked three different cottages for our extended family, and it worked out great. The common firepit was a hit, and the kids had a blast playing on the new playset. What's more, they have a shed filled with lawn games, sports equipment, board games, a couple of beach chairs, and toys, which saved us from having to overpack our car. Also, the newly installed sauna in the nearby camp was a great addition, and the outdoor shower to wash off beach sand was a hit with our kids!
The cottages are just a short 5-minute walk to Stanhope beach, making it convenient for families. Even our 4-year-old managed the walk without asking to be carried. The route to the beach takes you through one of the National Park campgrounds, which also offers a playground.
Each cottage is recently renovated, spotlessly clean, and equipped with modern amenities, including WiFi, TV, and air conditioning - a must during the muggy summer days. The kitchens and BBQ supplies have everything you need for meal prep.
This was the relaxed family getaway we were looking for, away from the hustle of Cavendish. It was exactly what we needed, and we're already planning to return in the future.
Stayed here with a bunch of family for the 1st week of July 2023 and it was perfect! The cottage was clean, cozy and well appointed with everything needed for our stay. Michele was an amazing host and extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful if we needed anything.
It's a very short walk to the beach through the Natl Park campground, and we spent a lot of time down there, it's beautiful! The cottages even come with Parks Canada passes for guest use if you want to visit any of the many other parks on the island!
The location is great for a family getaway, the yard has a brand new play structure for the kids, and a lovely fire pit for roasting marshmallows and relaxing by the fire. (Firewood provided!) There are also some bikes available for guest use.
Thanks Michele! We will be back next time we visit PEI!
