If you are used to other National Park campgrounds in Canada or the states this might be a shock for you. First, the good - showers are very good. Ample room for dishes and covered areas when it rains. Very nice staff. The bad - it is SO crowded with other campers right on top of you. Gets a bit noisy and the recent storms have made it a pretty ugly spot. Do not expect too much.
Our campsite, #126, was level and near the washing facilities. Dishwashing, shower, and bathroom facilities were in good order. Hot water: yes. Firewood was sappy/not dry. Had to axe it into small pieces. Maybe 100 meters to the beach. Kids loved the playground.
A beautiful location with wonderful beach across the street. Our site, number 29, was good although since on an uphill a bit tough to back into. On the plus side it was close to the bathrooms. Facilities were clean and well maintained. No wifi. Can't beat the location and the beautiful surroundings. Nice staff. Would easily stay here again.
Beautiful, quiet campground across the street from the beach. New playground and washrooms (2 yrs old). Entry kiosk is brand new with lots of Parks Canada items for sale along with some of the usual camping supplies. This is a great place to relax. It's also with 20 minutes drive to Charlottetown and Cavendish. Bring your bikes - great paved bike path running the length of the park. Also, Robinson's Island offers a great mountain biking opportunity (or hike if you prefer). Enjoy
