Motel Au Vieux Piloteux

On our way driving back to Fredericton from Montreal we decided to stop and spend the night . Most hotels were booked but we found this one that had rooms available . This hotel is a hidden gem, I am not sure why the low rating . The rooms were very large with two queen beds , microwave, safe , fridge and large TV . The bathroom was equally as large along with a great shower . Very comfortable beds , the rooms were clean and the service very friendly . Would certainly recommend and would stay there again .

This was the only place that was available on a busy summer weekend. The service charge/ tax was quite high for some reasons- don’t know why. Maybe that’s why it was available…? We arrived late, so the reception left the key in the envelope for us to pick it up on our arrival, which was nice. Well kept property and it was quiet in the evening although it was on a local highway. One inconvenience is that the reception was still closed at 8am although we wanted to make a coffee from their Kurig coffee maker. There is a Kurug machine available in each room but water / milk was missing. The office should be open from 7am at latest.

The front desk staff were friendly and very cheerful. (Very important to this lone, weary traveller!) I enjoyed sitting on the veranda overlooking the river as the sun went down. I loved my room... bright, comfy, quiet, and clean.
